– The European Football Association has announced the appointment of referee François Letexier to officiate Real Madrid’s match against Benfica, scheduled for next Tuesday at the Da Luz Stadium, in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16.
Letexier has previously refereed several Real Madrid matches in the competition, with the following results:
Real Madrid 20 Chelsea (2022/23 quarter-final first leg).
Real Madrid 12 Arsenal (2024/25 quarter-final second leg).
Liverpool 20 Real Madrid (2024/25 group stage matchday five).
Real Madrid 33 Manchester City (quarter-final first leg 2023/24).
Real Madrid 42 Napoli (matchday five – group stage 2023/24).
