– The French newspaper “L’Equipe” published a report on the importance of Aurélien Tchouaméni’s role for Real Madrid. Under former coach Chabi Alonso, Tchouaméni was one of the most involved and reliable midfielders in the squad.
Now under the leadership of Álvaro Arbeloa, Tchouameni remains an indispensable key player, currently occupying the centre-back position in front of the defence and performing his role with complete efficiency.
Chouameni is sometimes able to drop back between the centre-backs to help build play and secure defensive depth.
