– Portuguese newspaper A Bola has revealed Benfica’s stance on the racism case against Vinicius Junior, in which Gianluca Prestiani is accused.
According to the newspaper, Benfica categorically denies that Prestiani made any insults against Vinicius, and considers what is currently circulating to be a “smear campaign” targeting the player.
The Portuguese club has confirmed its full support for Prestiani, emphasising that his behaviour on the pitch has always been based on respect for opponents and sportsmanship.
