– The Portuguese newspaper A Bola reported that Porto sent an official memorandum to the Portuguese League Association and the Portuguese Football Federation after Vinicius Junior was subjected to racist abuse by Benfica player Prestiani.
Porto’s management demanded the implementation of a zero-tolerance policy for such cases, inquired about the preventive measures adopted to ensure that they do not recur, and urged the league to adopt a clear stance against racism in football. The club also called on the Portuguese Football Federation to provide all possible support to UEFA in its investigation of the case.
