– Movistar revealed referee Quintero’s conversation with Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois between halves of the Osasuna match that brought the two teams together last Saturday evening and ended in a 2-1 defeat for Real Madrid.
Conversation:
Referee: “The goal was empty… and very close. He himself knows he was late and I think there was a penalty… The problem is the foot-to-foot contact. You didn’t touch the ball.”
Courtois: “I didn’t do that to get it counted.”
Referee: “We appreciated that because you did your best to get to the ball, but you were late.”
