– It seems that Real Madrid has found the perfect alternative to the right-back Lucas Vasquez, after his level decreased in light of Danny Carvajal injury and waiting for a contract with Alexander Arnold, Liverpool star next summer.
The club is betting on the young defender Raul Asensio to occupy this center, as the Royal Club believes that the Spanish player has the necessary ingredients for success in this role, taking advantage of his speed and distinguished technical touch.
Although the future of Vasquez is still pending, as its contract expires in June 2025, Real Madrid does not see its renewal as an inevitable priority as before, especially with alternative options such as Asensio, in addition to the approaching contract with Alexander Arnold and the expected recovery of Danny Carvajal.
On the other hand, the club does not rule out the continuation of Vasquez, especially in light of the possibility of Carvajal to new injuries.
