– Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti directed a strict warning to the Spanish League after his team beat Villarreal 2-1 at La Ceramica Stadium.
The Italian coach confirmed that his team will not play any in the future without obtaining a rest period of at least 72 hours, after the team was forced to play only 66 hours after playing a match that lasted 120 minutes against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
Ancelotti said after the match: This is the last time we play 72 hours ago, we will never repeat it.
He added that the club asked the Spanish League to change the table twice without response.
The coach praised the commitment of his players and their distinguished personality since last January, stressing that the problem is not limited to Real Madrid only, as Atletico Madrid faced a similar position three times in 2025, calling for the necessity of making changes in the schedule of matches.
