– Celta Vigo coach, Claudio Gories, currently justified the reason for his departure from Real to join Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2008.
“I had a chance to make better decisions and find professional football paths at that stage,” said Ghairz.
He added: “I made decisions that ultimately show that it was not the best in my career, when I left Madrid with I had the option to return to Celta, but I preferred to stay in Madrid for my university studies.”
He continued, “In the next transfer period, I was already clear about my desire to return to Galicia because my career was more in line with the right track.”
He continued: “Nostalgia pushed me to take this place. There were academic and personal paths that prompted me not to make the right decisions and not benefit from the best opportunities at the sports level. I am responsible for those decisions, I could do more to improve my performance as a player, I now use this knowledge to advise young players.”
