– Since his first steps in the world of football, Federico Valverde, the current Real Madrid star, was moving daily towards achieving his dream.
Fedy grew up in a neighborhood close to the Estodiante de L -Union Club, where he started his football career before moving to Pinarol and then making his way to stardom.
“When he came to us, he was not up to three years old, but he played with older groups because there were no children in his age,” says club president Carlos Burgis.
Since then, the young player has starred with his talent, to attract the attention of Pinarol at the age of ten, then continued to develop until he became part of the club’s youth teams.
Valverde was known for his great shyness and thinness, which earned him the title of “small bird”, and despite that, he was always among the most prominent, as he played in the midfield and was considered one of the promising talents.
Today, after a journey full of successes, the Estudiante de L -Union club feels proud of its former star, but rather aspires to name the stadium in his honor in honor of it.
