– Wesley Schneider, the former Real Madrid player, has caused great controversy after strong statements about goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois in the first leg between Arsenal and Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Schneider justified his criticism that the defensive barrier was not appropriate to confront the free kicks recorded by Diklan Rice, noting that Courtois made a big mistake in the players’ arrangement in the wall.
Schneider said: “The free kicks were not amazing as some believe, it is easy to carry out a perfect curve shot if you are good at that, the error was in the wall.”
