– The Cadena Sir newspaper revealed part of the official statement that Real Madrid sent to the League, where the club requested a modification of its next match against Deportivo Alaves to Saturday April 12, instead of Sunday.
The statement stated:
“As you know, this meeting takes place between the two games that we will play against Arsenal in the Champions League quarter -finals, in London on April 8, and in Madrid on April 16, that a match against Alaves until Saturday will enable us to get more time to prepare appropriately for this important meeting.”
The club added: “We are convinced that our request is completely reasonable and we hope it will be accepted.”
The statement highlighted that Real Madrid is the only team in the Champions League quarter -final, which will not play its local match on Saturday, while the French League League decided to postpone the Paris Saint -Germain match on this day to ensure the comfort of the French team before its second leg against Aston Villa.
Meanwhile, Barcelona will play against Leganes on Saturday, while there will be other matches in the rest of the leagues such as Bayern Munich’s confrontation with Dortmund, in addition to Arsenal against Brentford, Aston Villa against Southampton, and Inter Milan against Cagliari.
